At UTILITYnet, we believe in the hassle free and affordable delivery of energy. We wanted to ensure that consumers were utilizing all of the benefits that came from the deregulation of the Alberta electricity and natural gas markets.
Many consumers do not know that they have options when it comes to choosing their energy provider. Albertans are not limited to large companies to supply them with their electricity and natural gas. We wanted to help introduce smaller, Alberta based companies to the market, which would mean more opportunities for consumers to save money.
A customer’s bill could decrease by 33% or more when they switch over to UTILITYnet as their retailer. Energy Marketers, by promoting the UTILITYnet retail offering, make it easy for consumers to save money with guaranteed fixed electricity prices and floating gas and electricity rates indexed to the spot market.
In partnership with the Solar Club™, our Community Energy Marketers make it simple and cost-effective for customers to go green and contribute to the shared future of our planet. Customers can support green energy generation (with Renewable Energy Certificates) starting at as little as 5% of their monthly energy usage.
UTILITYnet has roots in Alberta dating back to 1979, and each Community Energy Marketer has its own unique story of why they chose to sell energy. They all have one thing in common - a commitment to Albertans.
We are people serving people. Customers can always reach our Calgary-based Customer Care Team without navigating through endless phone menus. We understand Alberta’s unique energy market and are here to help.
No physical changes to a customer’s home, business or farm are needed. The wires or distribution company servicing a customer will continue to distribute electricity or natural gas just as they do today. With our new quotation process, customers can upload a copy of their current bill and they will receive an estimate of how much they could save.
Protecting the confidentiality of all customer information is extremely important to us. All Community Energy Marketers are required to sign a comprehensive Code of Conduct that is in line with service regulations set out by Service Alberta and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
